Shoreham

Shoreham is a 460MW combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) plant in the south of England and is one of the most efficient power stations of its kind.

About Shoreham

Built on the site of a former coal-fired power station, Shoreham reutilised the original high voltage connection to the National Grid as well as existing infrastructure from the nearby harbour for seawater cooling.

After major investment improving both efficiency and power output in 2022, the facility is now one of the most efficient and lowest emission plants in the UK, delivering vital power for over 450,000 homes.
